Top Fremont Street Attractions in Las Vegas
Viva Vision Light Show

One of the most well known sights at Fremont Street is the canopy overhead.  The canopy is 1,500 ft. long and has over 10 million led lights and a terrific sound system. Every hour on the hour between 6:00 pm and 1:00 the lights on Fremont will dim and you will catch a video and sound show playing tribute to such bands as The Who, Queen, Heart and Green Day. The schedule is posted Viva Vision.

Slotzilla Zip-line

If you want to get a birds eye view of The Fremont Street Experience there is a zip-line for you. There are two levels to the zip line. There is a lower line where you hang on like a swing rope and a higher line where you fly like superman. They give you bag to attach to your body to hold your personal items. At the end you can purchase photos and videos of your flight. You used to be able to find coupons online but I haven’t seen any in ages. If you come across any please comment.

Sigma Derby at The D

Sigma Derby is the old wooden horse racing machine that takes quarters. There is only one left in Vegas and it’s upstairs at The D. You bet quarters on the outcome of the race and get paid in quarters. Old school cool. People get right into often cheering for their horses to come through. We have met so many nice people and have had a riot at this machine. Myself and a group of ladies hit the longshot last time I was there. It was our 15 minutes of fame Fair warning, the machine is old and can break. They have somebody on hand that usually fixes it fairly quick.

Whiskey Licker Up at Binion’s

Whiskey Licker up is a rotating bar/restaurant at Binion’s in Las Vegas. The restaurant itself doesn’t rotate but the bar does and it gives a perfect view over top of Fremont Street. My wife and I had dinner and drinks here. IT was early and still light out as you can see below. We didn’t sit at the bar but at the counter beside it. You get an awesome view of Fremont, the food and drinks were great and reasonable and the bar area was lively. If you are looking to take a break and people watch this is the place.

Vegas Vickie at Circa

Vegas Vickie first showed up on Fremont Street in 1980. She was purchased in 2016 where she was given a makeover. She is now on display in The Circa in the lobby where she has a namesake bar. You can also see the original Vegas Vic, the original, who is still on display on Fremont Street. You can see him in the photo above.

Shark Tank at The Golden Nugget

The 200,000-gallon shark tank at The Golden Nugget is also home to a 300 foot water slide that takes you right through the heart of the tank.

Outside Bars and Concerts

The best of Fremont Street happens outside of the various casinos. Besides the light show there are open bars with girls dancing an free concerts most nights. The show schedule is located on their website. Grab a drink at the open bar at The D, do some people watching and enjoy live music on one of the three open stages.

Street Preforms and Buskers

I am going to level with you. The quality of street performers on Fremont Street has gone completely downhill over the past few years. Ten years ago you had The Cock That Rocks, Kick Me in The Nuts Guy, Mr. T and various preforms playing instruments and doing magic tricks. That has seem to have disappeared as of late. Now it seems like it’s just hustlers, beggars and aggressive show girls. There are still some entertainers there but just be careful. Don’t get suckered into giving money away to any aggressive panhandlers.

Scorpion Shot at Nacho Daddy’s

Where else can you do a shot of tequila with a scorpion inside? Fremont Street of course. Nacho Daddy’s is the once place we love to stop at. They will ring the bell and let you keep the shot glass to remember your moment of fame.

The Fremont Street Experience offers lot of free entertainment, people watching and great food and drink at a reasonable price.  There are great restaurants whether it’s Binion’s Steak House, Pizza Rock or The Heart Attack Grill, there is something for everybody. Just keep safe and be on the watch for pick pocketers or scammers in general. Fremont Street is safe but don’t venture too far off the beaten path. We be adding more to this post. I just need to go through ten years of photos and videos.
